Ha. Um, yes. One time, I sat up from doing dumbbell bench presses and hit myself in the pelvic bone with a dumbbell and got a really attractive bruise there. I’ve never been seriously injured though. B has a shoulder injury, so sometimes I have to spot him by like pulling down the lat pulldown bar, which I can’t reach so I actually have to push down on his shoulders to add weight.
If you’re hurt, stop working out, go to your doctor (some gyms have an ortho clinic with a one time free assessment) and take some rest days. Then either don’t work out that body part at all for a while, or find alternative exercises that put less pressure on the area depending on the severity of the injury. The going to see a doctor part is an order though. Don’t keep working a torn muscle and end up with a life long injury.
